imperfection
leads to self-reflection
just as
the tarnished mirror
calls for introspection
the torn leaf
the broken bowl
the empty space
the wilted rose
the averted face
the fallen arrows
the lost belief
the damaged soul
depending on your
point of view
all are cause for
celebration
The suggested limerick form was just one experiment too many
– but I took on the challenge to rhyme.

imperfect : #introtopoetry : day 5 : limerick (no, no, no)
I took the intro to poetry course also, and yes, limericks are hard to… swallow. Love this poem, though! 😉

Thanks Maggie – I had enough of a challenge forcing myself to use simile – much more comfortable with metaphor 🙂

I found them all a bit challenging. I’m not well versed in poetry. I’m really enjoying perusing your blog, however. Beautiful thoughts.

“not well versed” is this a poetry joke 😉
I’m thinking your haiku are rather wonderful ! Thank you for your kind comments.
